1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using CalcVault (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
The App provides:
- Calculator: Basic and scientific calculator functionality
- Vault: A hidden, encrypted storage feature for hiding files (images, videos, documents, PDFs) on your device
- Built-in Viewer: View hidden images, play videos, and read PDFs directly within the vault
3. Vault Usage
3.1 Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- Remembering your vault PIN
- Backing up any files you choose to hide
- Understanding that hiding a file deletes the original from your device after encryption
- Any data loss resulting from forgotten PINs or App uninstallation
Important: If you forget your vault PIN, your encrypted files cannot be recovered. We do not have access to your PIN or encrypted files. Always keep a backup of important files before hiding them.
3.2 Encryption
Your vault files are encrypted using AES-256 encryption with a key derived from your PIN. We cannot decrypt or access your files. If you forget your PIN, your files are permanently inaccessible.
3.3 Storage
All vault data is stored locally on your device. No files are uploaded to any server. If you uninstall the App, all encrypted vault data will be lost and cannot be recovered.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the App only for lawful purposes
- Not use the App to store illegal or harmful content
- Not attempt to reverse engineer the encryption or vault mechanism
- Not share your vault PIN with unauthorized individuals
- Not use the App to circumvent any laws or regulations
5. Intellectual Property
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Rishabh Dev and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
6. Advertisements
The App displays advertisements via Google AdMob. Ads may appear in the calculator interface. You acknowledge that advertisements are a necessary part of the free App.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DATA LOSS, INCLUDING VAULT FILES LOST DUE TO FORGOTTEN PINS OR DEVICE ISSUES.
8. Limitation of Liability
Rishabh Dev shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or files
- Loss of access to encrypted vault contents
- Device malfunction or data corruption
- Any damages arising from use of the App
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Rishabh Dev harmless from any claims arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws without regard to conflict of law principles.
